Hairy Ghost is a free guide to Halloween in the Twin Cities, run by one person for the fun of it. These terms are short because the arrangement is simple.

Using the site

Browse it, share it, plan your October around it. You do not need an account to read anything. An account lets you comment, recommend, keep itineraries and submit listings.

What you post

Your words and photos stay yours. By posting them here you are giving us permission to show them on the site, and to edit submissions for accuracy, length or formatting before publishing. Nothing more than that — we will not license your photos to anyone or use them off the site.

Please don't post:

• Anything you do not have the right to share, photos especially.
• Harassment, threats, or abuse aimed at anyone.
• Spam, advertising, or listings for events that do not exist.

We can remove anything that breaks those rules, and close accounts that keep doing it. There is no appeals committee; it is one person using their judgement.

Listings are other people's information

Dates, prices, ages and hours come from venues and from people who submit them. We check what we can, but details change constantly through October and a haunt can close or sell out without telling us. Confirm with the venue before you drive anywhere.

Listing an attraction is not an endorsement of it, and we have no part in what happens when you visit. Intensity ratings are a rough guide from the venue, not a safety assessment.

No guarantees

The site is provided as-is. It is free, it is a side project, and it may occasionally be down, wrong, or missing something. We are not liable for losses arising from using it or from anything you attend after finding it here.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top.
